Dr. View is the sonic spirit of Black Wall Street embodied.
The Tulsa-based producer and DJ is a southern, soulful, sampled-based beat maker and songwriter who utilizes sound to educate and liberate people through music and storytelling. Inspired by the likes of Big K.R.I.T., Kanye West, Bobbi Humphrey, Dr. Dre, The Dream, Quincy Jones, and Missy Elliott, Dr. View gets his name not only from his PhD, but from his southern roots in Longview, TX. These days, at the center of his artistry, is the historic Greenwood district in Tulsa that was destroyed in the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. He is the CEO & executive producer of Motown’s Fire in Little Africa compilation, and is a Nasir Jones (Nas) Hip Hop Fellow at Harvard University.
